Style links

TheSerif Office has the conventional (TrueType) four-font structure: Regular, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic. These four styles are linked, which means that they can be activated by using the “B” (Bold) and “I” (Italic) buttons in common office programs.

Cleartype

TrueType hinting takes full advantage of the ClearType technology, which is turned on by default in Windows Vista™. ClearType uses subpixel rendering to improve the appearance of text on screen. The image above shows the difference between a PostScript version of TheSerif (left), and TheSerif Office with TrueType hinting (right) in Microsoft Word™.
